Cambodian Island Activities
Beach!
The most popular activity on most of the Islands.
Sunning, swimming, eating, drinking, exploring, beach massage. Also, several of the resorts have swimming pools, in some places right on the beach.

Scuba Diving and Snorkeling
The best diving in Cambodia is on the islands. Less of the bigger fish, but more variety than most places. The dive companies offer lessons, day trips, and overnight trips. Snorkeling, you can do from the beach, but most of the island hopping adventure tours include snorkeling.

Dining & Drinking
Everyone’s got to eat! You can eat on the beach, on a boat, in your rooms, a gourmet restaurant, or a backpacker restaurant. The more expensive meals are right on the beach, but going inland just 50 meters, you can find local food for a dollar or more. Booze is widespread on the islands. Cocktails, wine and beer. The largest brewery in Asia, Angkor Beer Brewery is in SihanoukVille, within view of many islands. (Also Guinness, Carlsberg, Kronenbourg and a few others.)

Boating
Paddle boarding, kayaking, island hopping tours, jet skiing, party boats and booze cruises… Private boats with captain are available as well.

Exploring
All the islands have beaches and are surrounded by water. It’s an island, right? But traveling to the middle of the islands, almost always uphill, you’ll find jungles, streams, waterfalls, and views of Cambodia and Vietnam, the ocean, and other islands.
The bigger islands have motorycyle and buggy rentals, or you can hire a tuk tuk (cart powered by a motorcycle) to take you around on a tour.

Swim with bioluminescent plankton
Nighttime in some places are the glowing plankton. You can join them for a swim.

Fishing
Mostly by boat, sometimes at night.

Massage
On the beach, in your room, or at a spa. Most islands have massage.

Kayak in the mangrove forest
Rent a boat, or go on a group tour in the brackish water flowing in and out of the sea.

Try the local food and get a fruit shake
Exotic fruits and vegetables, fish, rice and noodle dishes, and Happy Shakes. Eat on the beach, or walk inside the island a bit and eat with the locals.
