Koh Tonsay Island (Rabbit Island)
Kep, Cambodia is located on the South-East corner of Cambodia, on the Bay of Cambodia (Bay of Thailand). Kep, where most island boat trips originate from, is also on the border of Vietnam (the Ha Tien border crossing).
The largest island visible off the coast of Kep is Phu Quoc, Vietnam. However, you’ll see Rabbit Island just off the coast of Kep.
Kep has a series of smaller islands, the most popular is Koh Tonsay (or Rabbit Island). A few beachside bungalows around the island.
You can rent a private boat for day trips to and around the island, or go on the Rabbit Island Ferry for a half hour long trip to the island (day trip or overnight trip). The boat is $25 round trip. You can get an $8 trip per person from most hotels in Kep. The new pier is on the ocean near the Kep Market.
Also on Kaoh Po Island you can stay overnight from the Kep Yacht Club. Or just a day trip is fun too.
